Generosity

My beautiful big boy (11) has a huge box of Lego.He has always has loved clicking together those little pieces (that somehow manage to end up in the most obscure places). He never seemed to be interested in the instructions (as is his gender!) for specific objects that the boxes usually come designed for. He is more interested in designing his own creations. Space ships and boats have been his favourites. He used to fall asleep designing them in his mind, waking up ready to attack the next day. His imagination is wonderful and such a beautiful thing.

Recently we reconnected with a gorgeous lady who has sold up everything and made a huge move to Cambodia with her little family to support a local not-for-profit organisation there (you can check out her inspiring blog here). She made a comment on her blog that Lego was hard to buy in Cambodia and that her young son was missing it. I explained this to my boy and he asked if he could send some of his Lego to Cambodia. Skip to the end - we have arranged it all and his Lego is flying to Cambodia (economy class) in July.

This boy is not only smart, creative and one of the funniest people ever, he is generous, compassionate and sensitive.
Oh to be like him.           He is all things good.
